Mike Uchida brings more than 15 years of marketing and promotions experience to Piedmont Events. After graduating from Auburn University and Georgia State University, Mike began his career in 1993 managing high-profile celebrity engagements, seminars and educations centers in Washington, D.C. Mike returned to his hometown of Atlanta in 1996 to host the Japanese women’s Kayak team during the Olympics. After the closing ceremony, Mike signed on as an Account Executive for a global marketing research firm where he created and analyzed customer satisfaction programs for Fortune 500 companies. In 1998, Mike took on Turner Broadcasting, where he has created and produced marketing promotions & events for Turner Classic Movies. This broad range of domestic and international experience includes award winning events Screen on the Green, West Side Story Reunion at Radio City Music Hall, the international contest Young Film Composers Competition and numerous film festivals and summer tours across the U.S. Sensing the need for a new and forward-thinking agency, Mike created ‘Piedmont Events’ in 2007. Mike’s passion is creating partnerships, developing strategy, creating concepts and delivering flawless events & promotions. Mike’s events have been awarded recognition from Promax, CTAM, Addy and Art Communication Awards.
